The Mission of the Woodridge Music Ministry
To lift up Christ and to encourage church members in their public and private worship
Our objective is:
To provide the Woodridge Baptist Church family with opportunities for worship and praise
To evangelize through a comprehensive music ministry
To train musicians of all ages as worship leaders
To teach Biblical concepts of music and worship
To seek to involve people in the Celebration Choir and Orchestra, Celebration Praise Band, our Children’s Choir Ministry, small vocal groups and Instrumental ensembles
But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. —I John 4:23
Our Philosophy of Ministry
Worship and the leading of worship is the heart of the Woodridge Baptist Church Music Ministry. It IS what we are about in what we do each week.
We believe that God created each person to be a worshiper and that within the heart of each person is the yearning to worship Jesus Christ as Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Nothing will ever satisfy or fulfill that need and inner desire except active participation in worship of Jesus Christ.
We believe God has called this ministry to lead all of His people at Woodridge Baptist Church to worship Holy God - young and old alike. Because of that – we purposefully design our worship ministry to meet the needs of a broad, culturally-diverse congregation – embracing the songs of our past as well as learning the new songs of our faith. We seek to teach and train men and women and boys and girls to be true worshipers.
