Mack Morris has been at Woodridge since July of 2000. He has been a pastor since 1968. During the course of his ministry every church he served has grown and become among the leading churches in Alabama . He has successfully completed seventeen building programs in the churches he has served. His heart is in reaching people for Christ and in seeing them grow in their faith while becoming part of our church fellowship. Mack and Kathy have three children and two “wonderful” Grandchildren. He loves sports and jogs four miles a day. He is thrilled to pastor “The church on the hill.” Give him a call. Send an e-mail. He would love to talk to you.

Associate Pastor - Bro. Garry Harred

Garry graduated from Criswell College in 1977 with a B.A. degree in Bible, and in 1979 with a Master of Ministry degree. He has pastored three churches since 1978 in Texas and Alabama. Garry is married to Jeanne and they have two sons, two daughters-in-law, one daughter and two granddaughters. He loves to fish (when ministry permits). His children are: Stephen married to Belinda, parents of Harper Grace. James married to Lauren, parents of Lila Elizabeth, Amy (in college)

Director of Music Ministries - Bro. Gary Middleton

Gary Middleton serves as the Minister of Music at Woodridge. A native of Mobile, Gary and his wife, Becky, served in Florida for 26 years, including 24 years at Olive Baptist in Pensacola. Returning to Alabama in 2000, they have served at Woodridge since August of 2003. They have two married sons – Keith and Adam. An interesting note: both daughters-in-law are named Jennifer! Bro. Gary, recognizing the need to minister to the entire church family, provides music opportunities for all ages ... including the orchestra that plays each Sunday! There is a place for you in the WBC music ministry!

Director of Education Ministries - Dr. Mike Williams

I was born and raised in the Gadsden, AL area. I surrendered my life to Jesus as Lord and Savior when I was 16 and followed God toward full time vocational ministry when I was 21. Charity and I have been married since 1998. We have both completed doctoral studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I enjoy spending time with my best friend, Charity, running and lifting weights, and reading. God is blessing Woodridge Baptist Church in incredible ways and I am glad I can join this body of believers to continue to reach people, teach people, serve people together for the glory of God!

Director of Student Ministries - Bro. Wayne Benbow

Wayne is a native of Mobile, graduated from Mobile Country High School in 1990, The University of Mobile in 1994, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2001.  He is married to Lee and they have three children:  David (man child), Leroy (feline) and Grizzabella (feline).  “I enjoy having fun... playing basketball, soccer, flag football, disk golf, paintball, golf; fishing, drama, singing and whatever David wants to do.”  Wayne has been ministering to our students since 2002.  He would love to get to know you and work alongside you with your students.

Director of Young Adult & Children’s Ministries - Bro. Wayne Gautney

Wayne is a native of Mobile, graduated from Theodore High School in 1986 and the University of Mobile in 1991 with a bachelor of fine arts degree. He served two years as a children's worker with Life Action Ministries in Michigan and has served churches in Alabama and Tennessee since 1993. Wayne is married to Angie and they have three children: Caleb, Hannah and Sarah Faith. He enjoys NBA basketball, guitar, drawing and computers.

Financial Secretary - Mrs. Cindy Smith

Cindy and her husband Don joined Woodridge in August of 1994 along with their two daughters Lindsay Spence and Haleigh. She began working at Woodridge in February of 1995 serving as financial secretary and now also serves as the pastor’s secretary. Cindy has served as an Awana and Sunday School teacher and is currently serving in the 4th grade Sunday School along with Don. They have grown through the many changes at Woodridge over the last 14 years and are thankful God led them here.

Education Secretary - Mrs. Gail Zeigler

Gail serves alongside Bro. Mike Williams, Education Pastor. She grew up in Guntersville, Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Business Management. Fresh out of college, she was hired by Burroughs Corporation (which later merged with Sperry Univac and became Unisys). Gail worked with them for 18 years before her division was shut down and her husband’s job took them to Johannesburg, South Africa. Gail has been married to Steve since 1995; his job brought them to Mobile in 1997. Gail began her service at Woodridge as a volunteer and was officially employed June 1998. She loves Ladies’ Bible Studies, traveling, theater, reading, puzzles and computer games.

Music Secretary - Mrs. Elise Lang

Elise serves under Bro. Gary Middleton, the music minister. She spent her high school years in Mobile and was married here. Immediately upon marrying her high school sweetheart Derek Lang they moved from Mobile . After 6 moves to different states due to his career as a Mechanical Engineer, they returned to Mobile in 2001. They joined Woodridge because of the sound biblical preaching and the warm family atmosphere. She has served as the music assistant since 2002. They have two outstanding teenage boys that they are very proud of: Jordan & Adam.

Pastoral and Student Ministry Secretary - Ms. Kathy Johnson

Kathy Johnson is secretary to Bro. Wayne Benbow, Director of Youth Ministries, and Bro. Garry Harred, Director of Pastoral Ministries, as well as serving as a Sunday School teacher to our Creepers Class and a member of the Celebration Choir. Kathy has attended WBC for 12 years and has been a member for almost 8 years. She has a daughter, a son and a daughter-in-law, and 5 fabulous grandchildren. Kathy and her dad, Clif King, share a home in West Mobile . A quote from Kathy : “I love my job and this church!”

Young Adults & Children’s Secretary - Mrs. Candice Parten

Candice serves under Bro. Wayne Gautney, director of Young Adult and Children’s ministries.

Licensed Christian Counselor - Dr. Charity Williams

Charity, while not a paid staff member, has her own office in the church.  There are fees involved with the counseling she provides and they are based on your income in order to make it affordable for everyone, regardless of income level.  Charity is a doctoral graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
